About Afterplace Afterplace is an adventurous indie game originally for mobile devices (and now for much more). However, instead of following the modern mobile trends of idle timewasting, it takes more inspiration from the old days of clunky handheld games that took us to amazing, fantastical places. Afterplace is a game without long tutorials or mountains of menu buttons. The mobile version of the game takes the level of agency and movement you'd expect from a console experience and condenses down to a touchscreen form. The PC version takes that intentionally tiny experience and explodes it back out to a vast, rich world and story to discover. In the game, you'll explore a winding, mysterious network of forest paths, caves, ruins, and towns, each filled with unpredictable creatures, some friendly and some not. The game boasts no overworld map, and a plethora of hidden areas, items, and bosses. The game is beatable in around 10 hours, but has enough hidden content to keep players invested for much longer. Afterplace released in December of 2022 for Android and iOS, with continued support and features still being added. About Us (Me) Afterplace is currently being made by one person, Evan Kice. A former software engineer from Austin TX, Evan quit his job (to the dismay of his friends and family) and has been working full time on Afterplace since early 2019. The game was released on December 9th, 2022.

For reference, "Kice" rhymes with "Nice".
